Can pornography be engineered so that its consumption becomes an intellectually and emotionally enriching experience?

In a very real sense, this question stands at the heart of the Sir Richard Wadd experiment. I suspect it will be difficult to answer until both myself and my audience have had a sufficient amount of time to absorb and evaluate the effects of the material contained herein. Ultimately, viewer response and feedback will be critical to how I finally answer this question.In the meantime, however, I’m going to assert that Yes, pornography can indeed be engineered so that it enriches its viewers at both an emotional and intellectual level. But the keys to unlocking these treasure-troves of enrichment are cut with entirely unique profiles. The Emotional key is shaped in such a way that it works to develop deeply compelling and internally-consistent characters that are firmly grounded in a narrative storyline (in other words, viewers are invited to grow attached to well-crafted fictional people as opposed to objectified bodies).

Concurrently, the Intellectual key is cut in such a way that it attempts to stimulate, delight, and engage the viewer with a fresh, vivacious, and challenging combination of verse. The linguistic acrobatics become an attraction in themselves: they stand as a significant component of the Sir Richard Wadd experience and effectively reduce one’s reliance on the pornographic images alone in order to achieve the entertainment objective. (“Entertainment Objective” – Quite a euphemism, isn’t it? ;^)

So anyway, the bottom line is that this Consideration is a highly debatable topic and the above paragraphs may not sufficiently justify the assertion that pornography’s emotional and intellectual stimulation can ever be enhanced. But one of my objectives in building this website is to use it as a laboratory to explore just such a question. Only time will tell…
